Wet & Soggy! South Coast NSW to outskirts of Sydney

The above picture on Seven Mile Beach (Shoalhaven NSW, Yuin Country) is representative of the persistent wet weather for large areas of NSW for the past couple of months I believe.

Before travelling from Batemans Bay to Shoalhaven Heads (near Nowra) we had a birthday to celebrate. This felt rather different for everyone, with Ari away from their mother in their birthday for the furst time. Ari seemed to still enjoy themselves, with a visit to Mogo Zoo, including feeding the giraffe! (Homemade cupcakes baked in the griller.)
Shoalhaven Heads has a special place in my heart, as I visited from grandparents there a number of times while I was growing up. However, it was very wet while we were there, and we left a day earlier than planned in the hope of avoiding another forecast of heavy rainfall.
It was interesting seeing so much debris (drift wood - logs) on the beach. I Waa wondering whether this was a combination of the flooding 2 months ago, then the larger seas bringing it back onto the beach.
We are now at Balmoral - in the Southern Highlands area of NSW between Picton and Bowral, where we have trip our first HipCamp stay. The above is my first (and may I say successful!) attempt of cooking pizza including home made dough in a griller! (That was last night's dinner).
OK, time to rouse the teenager's (child plus dog) as we have some relatives to visit today!
